Pragmatic Play is a reference company in the iGaming market, with several awards. How does the brand differentiate itself from other game providers in the market?

Pragmatic Play has a range of flagship titles that have proved to resonate well with a global audience but what sets it apart from other providers is its localised content. Throughout its comprehensive multi-product portfolio, Pragmatic Play offers award-winning Slots, Live Casino, Bingo, Virtual Sports and Sportsbook content, available in all major regulated markets, with many regionalised titles produced specifically for the Latin American audience. A prime example of this is the localised Portuguese Roulette, offering a more immersive and engaging experience for players in Brazil.

The gaming market in Latin America is booming. Now, with the regulation of betting in Brazil, and the inclusion of the “online gaming” category in the law, the gaming landscape in Brazil becomes very attractive for operators. How does Pragmatic Play view the Brazilian market and what are the brand’s plans for Latin America?

Pragmatic Play sees expansion into the emerging Brazilian market as an exciting opportunity to further establish itself as a global leading supplier.  The recent regulation in Brazil allows Pragmatic Play to deliver on its LatAm strategy, which forms a vital part of its wider remit to deliver player-favourite experiences worldwide. Looking ahead, Pragmatic Play plans to continue ensuring that Brazilian players receive content tailored to the demands of the market through more exciting Slots and Live Casino releases.

How is the company adapting to changes in player preferences and behaviors over time?

Pragmatic Play takes compliance and responsible gaming very seriously and continues to put measures in place to protect players and promote responsible gambling practices. Pragmatic Play believes that providers and operators alike must provide the right tools for players to utilise and puts itself at the forefront in the industry-wide aim to support responsible gaming in regulated markets worldwide.

According to a survey conducted by the International Betting Integrity Association (IBIA), there is a notable increase in interest in sports betting on female events, especially in football, basketball, and tennis. Between 2017 and 2022, these sports recorded a recurring growth of 10% in bets, demonstrating an increasing engagement of the audience with female competitions.

Does Pragmatic Play know the percentage of women and men who seek out their games? Do betting interests change significantly?

Pragmatic Play has seen an increase in both betting on women’s sports and women participating in sports betting and online gaming. Unlike many land-based live casino and slots products, Pragmatic Play’s offering is not targeted predominantly at men, with its Slots providing gender neutral content across the board to maximize player engagement. Through the broad appeal of its games for all players regardless of gender, Pragmatic Play is helping to reshape societal perceptions of iGaming and fosters inclusive and diverse online gaming communities.
